Pink Moon

Pink Moon is the third and final studio album by Nick Drake, released in 1972. Unlike his previous albums, which featured lush arrangements and orchestration, Pink Moon is a stark, minimalist work consisting only of Drake’s voice, acoustic guitar, and a brief piano overdub on the title track. This stripped-down approach gives the album an intimate, haunting quality that has since become legendary. The album cover, designed by Michael Trevithick, reflects the album’s dreamlike and introspective nature. While Drake never publicly explained its meaning, the artwork has become as iconic as the music itself, adding to the album’s mystique.
